Atlas establishes a Brazilian Desk

Atlas Tax Lawyers is pleased to announce it has established a Brazilian Desk. The desk will be headed by both Brazilian tax lawyer Martha Formenti, new associate at Atlas, and Ivo Kuipers, partner at Atlas.

She is a talented lawyer, experienced on matters related to Brazilian tax law and we believe her background with tax advisory and litigation in Brazilian law firms provide her with the necessary skills to fully understand the Brazilian tax environment and its peculiarities. Such knowledge will be of much assistance to both our Brazilian clients investing in EU market ––companies and private clients alike – and to our EU clients aiming to enter the Brazilian market.”

Martha is a registered lawyer at the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB/RJ 170.654). She has gained professional experience with Brazilian and international tax law from working at the prestigious law firms: Xavier, Bernardes, Bragança, Sociedade de Advogados, Trench, Rossi e Watanabe – associated with Baker Mckenzie – and Leoni Siqueira Advogados.Martha holds a Law degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and an International Tax Law Masters (LLM) degree from the International Tax Center (ITC) Leiden. 

Martha will be working at both Atlas Amsterdam and Tiberghien Luxembourg.
