Partner

Frederik is an all-round M&A tax lawyer who advises on all tax aspects of transactions, such as due diligence, structure papers, SPA negotiations and corporate restructuring. Complementary to the due diligence work, he often advises target companies post-closing, making sure that the tax findings from due diligence are implemented correctly.

Frederik’s specialization is advising on tax aspects of management incentive plans (MIPs), which entails the design and implementation of the MIP and the negotiations with the tax authorities. Due to his broad experience in negotiating rulings with the tax authorities, Frederik is very well aware of the possibilities and impossibilities with respect to MIPs.

Frederik has recently been involved in:

  • The sale by management of GoodHabitz to Prosus
  • Interstellar Group: formation of the group, several add-on acquisitions and day-to-day advice
  • The sale by Quadrum and management of Ace Pharmaceuticals to Gilde Healthcare
  • The sale of Just Premium to GumGum

Frederik studied Tax Law at Groningen University and Economics at Groningen University. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors (NOB). In 2021 Frederik was nominated as “Best M&A Tax Advisor”.
