Lyda Stone

Lyda is an all-round tax adviser specializing in corporate and international tax. She assists domestic and international startups, corporates and funds on a wide range of tax matters. She has a particular affinity for working with tech companies, including platforms.

Lyda began her career in the international tax practice at Loyens & Loeff, where she honed her expertise over seven years. She then expanded her experience at one of the largest American law firms in the Netherlands. There, she became a trusted counsel and the first point of contact for a range of corporate clients.

Her career progressed as she took on the role of Head of Tax, Corporate, and Risk at one of the top 10 Dutch tech companies during its scale-up and growth phase. In this role, Lyda worked closely with the Board of Directors, CFO, and Product Team, gaining in-depth experience with platform companies and the required cooperation with the Product Team.

Before becoming an external advisor at Atlas in September 2024, Lyda served as Head of Tax, Legal, and Finance at a dynamic venture fund and studio based in the Netherlands, with operations across multiple continents. Her work there focused on establishing a venture-building platform and setting up several VC funds.

Lyda holds a Master’s degree in both Tax Law and Civil Law from the University of Leiden, as well as an LL.M. in Public International Law from the University of London (UCL). She has worked in Amsterdam, São Paulo and Milan.

Lyda has been an external advisor at Atlas since 2024.
