Tjeerd holds a degree in Tax Law from the University of Amsterdam and joined Atlas in 2021 as the Global Tax Project Lead & Business Development. With over 20 years of international tax experience, primarily from his tenure at KPMG Meijburg & Co, he is a strategic tax advisor with a versatile skill set. Tjeerd excels in client-facing roles within global environments, focusing on delivering exceptional client service and achieving client goals.
At Atlas, Tjeerd drives strategic growth for clients, account teams, and the firm. He builds and retains long-term business relationships, oversees tax planning and implementation, leverages cross-functional services, manages projects and key accounts, addresses clients’ technology needs, and leads among others RFP/proposal processes by translating tax department needs into valuable proposals. Tjeerd collaborates with multidisciplinary teams from Atlas and member firms within our global network to foster sustainable growth, bridging connections between people, tax technicalities, strategic insights, and impactful developments. By taking a comprehensive and connected view of industries and the tax landscape, he empowers clients to identify opportunities, manage risks, and create long-term value.
